Here are some photos of a marquee we did near Salibury. The garden was large but rather dominated by trees so we managed to fit all of the equipment in by having a dance and entertainment area directly off the side of a 12m marquee. This was concealed by a dividing wall until after the speeches and the band started playing.

 

 

We made the most of the floodlit trees by providing a lot of windows on the far side as well as our 3m eave height capability. The marquee was decorated with flat linings, chinese laterns and uplights. The dance marquee had a professional stage with steps, starlight lining and a black and white dance floor. We also had a nice bar area with LED lights at one end. 

 

Last month we played a part in quite an impressive Party with a marquee close to Newbury. The client went all out for a 9m marquee on 3m eave height which really made the most of the view back onto the house and added to the impressiveness of the structure. The extra eave height also allowed us to install a light mast and proper stage for the tribute band called Take That Again who were really good.

The marquee also had a DJ area down the other end so that as soon as the band finished the party would continue seamlessly. Other nice touches were the pea-light dance floor which echoed the starlight lining brilliantly.

Unbelievably, some of the crew were lucky enough to get invited to the fun filled evening. Hank enjoyed the free bar a little bit too much!

Over the last few years Marquee Vision have built up a good reputation amongst the Oxford University Colleges. As well as being high quality, reliable and considerate to the historic venues, contractors must have a better than average public liability insurance policy.

A lot of work went into the look of this marquee wedding in Highclere nr. Newbury. White was the theme and the client went all out with white linings with reveal curtain, white chairs, white sofas and a white dance floor! The look was topped off with a front lit LED bar and mirror topped tables for the chill out area.

 

Firstly let me apologise for not updating for a while, it probably looks like we haven't had much on of late. On the contrary we have been extremely busy since the end of March and only now are we getting a bit of time for office work (or in Andy's case some sun in Portugal!).

I plan to follow this update with some more detailed examples of what we have been up to but for now take a look at some of the events we have been working on over the last 5 months.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Due to a problem with this page we have lost a lot of our updates from the winter period. I will try to fill you in a bit on movements at Marquee Vision over the last 6 months.

From the October wedding fairs we held at Spittleborough Farmhouse and Bibury Court work did not really stop for us. We worked closely with an events company throughout November and December. Some of the parties had star performances from chart-topping artists such as Eliza Doolittle and Katy B.

Party favourites are LED colour changing lighting, starlight lining and black and white dance floors. 

We also did our annual New Year's Eve marquee at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons. Which can be seen with it's LED bar below.

A lot of the work was done in the snow (again!) but both myself and Andy managed to find time for a bit of holiday before the summer season kicks off. As things get busier there will be plenty of viewing opportunities so please call or email us for details.

Party Marquee Hire in November

Congratulations to the many happy couples who chose Marquee Vision to supply their wedding marquees during June and July. Amongst them was Adam and Yolanda's wedding held at Bibury Court in Gloucestershire. See the photo below.

The marquee was hard floored, carpeted and lined with pleated lining. Along with the dance floor and stage at one end of the marquee there was a bar area with panoramic views onto the house and hills behind.

Another popular accessory is the starlight lining over the dance floor which looks really good at night.

Another marquee we hired in April was for a party in Siddington near Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The installation was across 6 separate vegetable patches and would not have been possible without our sub-frame flooring system. The only floor we use at Marquee Vision is the sub-frame as it gives a vastly superior finish to the old style direct lay boards. 

The marquee was linked to the house with a canopy walkway. It had a Olive Green carpet with a pleated lining and Panoramic window walls all of the way around the structure. The panoramic window walls are becoming more and more popular than the Georgian style as they suit the modern marquees so much better. They are also much more effective when floodlights are being used to highlight garden features as was the case here.

April was a busy month at Marquee Vision. One of the more stylish marquees we installed was for a party in Liddington near Swindon.

The main challenge we had to cope with was the uneven garden. Along with a lot of time and effort our new sub-frame flooring system allowed us to get the floor completely level and solid, which is always important particularly with drinks tables.

We used powerful floodlights on the trees outside so that guests had a fantastic outlook down the valley. The flat linings and panoramic windows provided the perfect modern finish inside.

The weekend after New Year's Eve was an extremely busy one for Marquee Vision. Unfortunately we had a foot of snow on each site and temperatures as low as -14c. Despite our staff struggling to get into work for most of the week we managed to get all the work done in time. The new pick up was excellent and did not get stuck once. Often the only company we had in the Oxfordshire hills were bewildered looking tractor drivers!

One of our clients Mrs Perkins, had planned a winter wonderland themed party for her daughter, Charlie's 21st birthday. As you can see from the pictures the snow really helped bring the theme to life.

      

Marquee Vision ushered in the New Year with a spectacular marquee at Raymond Blanc's world famous restaurant. 

The marquee we provided was on 3m high legs and was decorated with full starlight lining, mirror ball, white dance floor in a diamond formation and our new LED bars. Everyone was extremely pleased with the end result.
